Lord God, give us the strength to preserve freedom for our people, for our children’s children, not only for us Germans, but also for the other peoples of Europe. To preserve freedom for our people, for it is not a war that we are all fighting for our German people alone, but also for the other peoples of Europe. It is a war for the whole of Europe and thus really for the whole of humanity.
