Gates Foundation Funded 16 AI-Designed Synthetic Viruses
The Gates Foundation just funded the first ever creation of 16 synthetic viruses using AI. For the first time ever, mad scientists used AI to design entire viral genomes, physically manufacture them, and turn them into 16 new functional AI-Designed viruses capable of replicating. Science is one of the world’s most prominent scientific journals that is corrupted. The senior author, Brian Lee, you’ll see him up top there, who conceived, AI-designed, and supervised the study, disclosed funding from the Gates Foundation.
How the AI-Designed Study was Conducted
They generated hundreds of AI-designed viral genomes, manufactured the DNA, assembled them, and recovered 16 AI-Designed functional bacteriophages viruses that successfully propagated and killed the bacterium they were inside of. They used EVO 1 and EVO 2 genomic language models that essentially function like ChatGPT for DNA, predicting nucleotides instead of words and writing complete genetic blueprints for these 16 AI-Designed viruses. Now, these particular viruses, the bacteriophages, infect bacteria, not humans.
This is a Dangerous Precedent Especially in the Wrong Hands
The barrier separating digital AI output from an operational biological agent has now been crossed. This technology should be halted before it falls into the hands of bioterrorists or other criminal actors.
