Hitler Speech – Christianity and Atheism in Government
I do not merely talk of Christianity. No, I also profess that I will never ally myself with the parties which destroy Christianity.
If many wish today to take threatened Christianity under their protection, where, I would ask, was Christianity for them in these 14 years when they went arm in arm with atheism?
No, never, and at no time was greater internal damage done to Christianity than in these 14 years when a party theoretically Christian sat with those who denied God in one and the same government.
Hitler Attacked on Recognizing Who the Jews Were and Their History
I have been attacked because of my handling of the Jewish question. The Catholic Church considered the Jews pestilent for 1,500 years, put them in ghettos, etc., because it recognized the Jews for what they were.
In the epoch of liberalism, the danger was no longer recognized. I am moving back toward the time in which a 1,500 year long tradition was implemented.
I do not set race over religion, but I recognize the representatives of this race as pestilent for the state and for the church, and perhaps a great service by pushing them out of schools and public functions.
But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
And so you will bear testimony to me. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves, for I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. And they will put some of you to death. Everyone will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish.
Stand firm and you will win life.
