Joe Banister Talks About His Prosecution and Trial

Matt Gaetz: Prosecuted, you went to trial, you won that trial, are you worried you’ll be prosecuted again?

Former IRS Investigator Joe Banister: No, actually there were two criminal investigations against me over the years, one from 2001 to 2004, and then another one in 2010, and all the while not filing a tax return, and not out of some sense of civil disobedience. Of course, my investigation indicated that I didn’t have a filing requirement.

Joe Banister Questions Income Tax Illegal Scam and His Investigation

I confronted my IRS supervisors about the evidence that I gathered, and they told me to hit the road, to leave and not discuss any of my questions about the income tax illegal scam. So all these years I had to go with what I knew to be true as a certified public accountant, and for my own life, and the fact is the same fact pattern would fit with most Americans, although I don’t tell people what to do, but for myself, since I was a link in the chain of putting people in prison over the income tax, I felt that I had to absolutely speak up about the income tax illegal scam. The IRS didn’t want to talk about it, and so that’s basically how the last 26 years have gone for me.

Previous Coworkers – They Don’t Realize That Income Tax is and Illegal Scam

Matt Gaetz: You don’t have to identify them, but I’m curious, when you are in a work setting, you have co-workers, you have colleagues, you often make friends with people that you’re around in an office environment. Do you ever still communicate with people who work at the IRS, and if so, what are those communications like?

Former IRS Investigator Joe Banister: They don’t really understand the income tax illegal scam issue. They either dodge it or they just have no clue that it’s even going on. They just want to speak, you know, IRS speak, and so I have to, you know, I remember how to speak that way. So I basically have to just, you know, deal with people that don’t realize what they’re doing is a income tax illegal scam. You know, the IRS has to literally lie to their own computer systems to achieve assessments. I’ve coined the term the 1040A income tax illegal scam, and I certainly wish, Congressman, you were still in Congress, or you still can get into the Attorney General’s chair, because you would absolutely find computer fraud that the IRS is engaged in on a daily basis for decades, and it needs to be investigated and prosecuted. Income tax is absolutely a illegal scam, and that’s why I didn’t want to go along with it any longer.
