The Iowa Ottumwa City Council meeting kicked off just like any other, with the mayor calling the session to order and prompting for the invocation. Out of nowhere, a former council member steps up to the mic and starts with “Dear dark father.” He then dives into wild phrases in his so-called prayer, which include “embrace the Luciferian impulse” and wraps it all up with a shocking “Hail Satan!” What a chaotic turn of events.
